Dude! I've seen this film before! I found it at my local library in the kids section while volunteering to shelve books. It looks interesting and weird so I checked it out! It didn't strike me as too scary when I watched it, but I was about 17 years old, so that's not too surprising. It's got a relatively unique style with clever use of stop motion and other animation techniques which is fun to watch! Edit: Oh my god, how did I forget the cannibals!? I genuinely forgot the cannibals and I'm not sure how. Maybe I stepped out during that scene or the disk skipped, but I would probably have remembered them otherwise, I would think.

Could you check out warriors even though it’s a book! It looks cute, but there are lots of gory parts and just to name a few: Bleeding to death while giving birth, being slaughtered by cougars on murder rampages, falling off a cliff into a ragingriver, having your stomach torn open and reliving it nine times, being torn apart by dogs, having a steak knife stabbed into your throat, drowning in a tunnel where you wander for all eternity, having your tail torn off, falling off a stalactite and breaking your neck, etc. Thanks!

Barefoot gen, like the original novel for Grave of fireflies, is first hand account of atomic bombing and post war Japan. And the manga is pretty detailed in showing directly the racism, the problem with Imperial Japan, the consequences of IJ action, and post bombing eye witness account from a child point of view

I think analysis that validates the "Cold War Clock" ending, is that many of the issues plaguing USSR nations haven't been resolved, but kind of winded back and ready to blow up again. Even though the USSR officially disbanded in 89', these post-soviet nations are still struggling with everything that happened in the 20th century. Crimea got absorbed by Putin's Russia a while back, and for them, whether it's USSR or Russia, it's the same old shit

Czechs are widely known for their stop motion animation. You should check out the works of Jan Švankmajer, he's my favorite! He's also made a couple of feature length films that I think would go well on your channel. "Alice", 'Faust", "Insects", "Little Otik" in particular is pretty gruesome, it's based on a Czech fairy tale, so...yeah. Definitely gruesome. "Alice" is my favorite, though. And also probably the most surreal and creepy of them all.
